Deputies: 10-year-old boy with autism missing in Jefferson County found safe

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department says a 10-year-old boy with autism who was missing on Marrowstone Island was found safe.

Deputies said Doug Crull was missing from his home since 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. 

The sheriff’s department sent an email to KIRO 7 at 12:28 a.m. Friday saying Doug was located on a beach near milepost 3.7 off Highway 116 where he was stuck in the mud on the beach.

Crews pulled him from the mud. He was cold and wet, but uninjured.
