LA PORTE CITY, Iowa —
Authorities in Eastern Iowa are scaling back their search for a missing autistic teenager more than a week after he disappeared.
Jake Wilson, 16, hasn’t been seen for nine days.
Officials have been searching since last Sunday, but have come up empty handed.
A multi-agency group of investigators will now spearhead the effort to find out what happened to Wilson.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff says despite pulling back efforts, law enforcement remains committed to finding answers.
The sheriff said they’re still looking for information on a person seen walking in the same area as Jake, around the time he disappeared.
